Graduation

Congratulations Dr. Halterman!

While Jared's parents were here for his graduation, we took them to our favorite Missouri destination that we have nicknamed the "Redneck Zoo".

Grammy came to help out while Jared went house hunting for us in West Virginia. She spoiled the boys with lots of attention and made the transition to life with a little brother easier on Van (and me).

Welcome to the world Ward!

Born April 25th 2011, 6:20 pm

6.5 lbs, 20 inches

Waiting for the fun to begin. I went in for my scheduled appointment and because the baby had decreased movement recently. They did a non-stress test and the due to some irregularity in heartbeat the doc decided to just send me over to labor and delivery and break my water since he said I was basically ready for delivery anyway.

The doctor was excited to have Jared deliver the baby, it was a neat experience for us both! It was pretty easy on his part since things went fast and smooth and after 2 pushes the baby came out.

EASTER FUN

Van spent the whole week of Easter enjoying Spring and the festivities. Van had fun at the library Easter egg hunt and flying his new kite from Grandma Halterman. The Easter bunny dropped Van's easter basket on the doorstep with a new fishing pole in it which Van has loved and even caught a fish with it already.

Zoo Trip

We have been trying to just enjoy this peaceful time before baby Ward arrives and spoiling Van. Jared took the day off and we went to the zoo and had a perfect zoo day. Van loved the goats!

Van is such a daddy's boy. Whenever Jared sits on the couch, even if Van starts off on the other side he always just slowly scoots closer and closer until he ends up like this. He loves to be near his daddy and always kicks me out and tells me "Mom go away, I need some daddy time". I think it is cute.

One of Van's favorite things to do is ride the scooter with his dad. He loves to go so fast and can hardly contain his excitement every time he goes. We are getting ready to sell it and are so sad that we won't be able to take Van on rides any more!
