Fall

At our favorite pumpkin patch with cousins

Hayride to the pumpkin patch

Luke Skywalker an Handy Manny

It was fun to have cousins to come trick or treating with us. They were the only kids in the whole neighborhood, they got bucket loads of candy!

Merick is old enough now that she adores her girl cousins and loved playing with Gracie.

We took a trip to Columbus while Jared was at a conference there and went to the zoo

 We love fall hikes here!

Merick and I have had some special days when the other two are at school.

The boys LOVE helping out with the leaves whether it is raking, using the leaf blower, or stuffing them in sacks. It provided hours of entertainment this fall.

Van lost his first tooth earlier this fall and has lost another since

I had a perfect 35th birthday consisting of kids out of school and absolutely perfect weather so we took a trip to a gorgeous park area and spent the day riding bikes, throwing rocks in the stream and enjoying the sunshine. And it was topped off by apple crisp made by Jared and the boys for my birthday cake.

VAN

VAN AGE 5 (almost 6)

Our intelligent, active, energetic, creative, kind-hearted boy who adds so much life and love to our home

SOME OF HIS FAVORITE THINGS: ANYTHING WHERE HE CAN RUN AROUND AND MOVE!

As soon as he comes home from school he heads straight for the trampoline and jumps for an hour straight
He is really loving sports right now. He loves basketball and soccer, neither of which we have good pictures of

CREATING THINGS--HE LOVES HIS LEGOS

WARD

WARD (age 3 1/2)
Our hard-working, mechanical-minded, tool-loving silly, creative, adorable, talented guy whose smile is contagious and is amazing with a screwdriver

HIS FAVORITE THINGS:  This piece of wood. He spends hours a day with it drilling screws into it, using it as a bridge, ladder, sanding it, gluing it, taping it, pretending it is hundreds of different things. He would be lost without it.  I will keep this piece of wood forever because it represents his childhood so far.

ANYTHING WITH LEVERS OR MOVING PARTS.  THIS IS AT THE ZOO, HE CARED NOTHING FOR THE ANIMALS BUT WAS THRILLED WITH THE PLANE AND JEEP WITH LEVERS TO PLAY WITH

MOTORCYCLES He is very determined to ride a motorcycle, he is getting the hang of it

RIDING BIKES-  He rides his balance bike like a daredevil but doesn't like his peddle bike as much because he can't ride as crazy with it....yet

WORKING LIKE HIS DAD--PLAY FOR HIM IS DOING WORK

He loves to hook things up to his vroom vroom so he can move loads of stuff around the yard

MERICK

Merick ( at age almost 18 months)
Our happy, social, adventurous, fun little girl who makes us smile all day long

HER FAVORITE THINGS:
Socks or anything she thinks is socks. It doesn't matter whose they are, if she sees them she puts them on immediately and is thrilled. She is obsessed with socks.

Her Daddy.....she is very much a daddy's girl and prefers him over mommy about 90% of the time

JUMPING ON THE TRAMPOLINE. SHE LAUGHS AND GIGGLES AND NEVER WANTS TO GET OFF

AND DOING EVERYTHING SHE SEES HER BROTHERS DOING

If she sees her brothers going potty, she tries too by lifting up her shirt and pointing her tummy wherever her brothers do. Whenever I ask the boys to go to the bathroom she waits her turn and stands at the toilet with her shirt up.

She refuses to sit in the stroller to walk Van to school and insists on walking like her brothers which means it takes us a REALLY long time to get to school.

Happy to be riding her bike just like the boys
